After spending eight years as a professional footballer and then ten years working in education, Kevin George has become one of the leading mental health experts in football.
As founder of ‘Soccology’- a series of talks and book of the same name, George’s mission is to empower young people and to educate them using the power of football to improve mental health, promote social inclusion and to arm them with the key mental attributes to make them thrive on and off the pitch.
Delivering Soccology, he has lectured at over 95% of Premier League football clubs, facilitated internationally in partnership with the British Counciland has taught in schools for over a decade. The program addresses issues that young players in academies across the country face, such as bullying, the lure of gang culture and how differing socio-economic backgrounds can impact on their mental health.
The success of the programme led to George writing a book of the same name. 'Soccology - Inside the Hearts and Minds of Successful Professionals'became an Amazon No. 1 Best Sellerand saw a deeper investigation into the psyche of the modern player - as 45 pro footballers from around the world (including Fabian Delph, Gael Clichy, Quinton Fortune) spoke of how a positive shift in mindset helped them overcame situations like injury setbacks, retirement and a range of often unspoken mental health struggles.
After its release in 2018, George spoke in interviews with BBC News, ITV News, Sky Newsand more about themes from the book relating to youth violence, racism and the pressures via social media that the young England squad faced during the World Cup. He has also written articles for GQ,The Guardianand Shortlist.

Kevin George Bio:
After spending eight years as a Professional Footballer, including for Premier League clubs such as West Ham United and Charlton Athletic FC, Kevin took to life on screen.
Taking part in films, programmes and commercials across the globe for the likes of Nike, Coca Cola and Walkers Crisps. During this time he body doubled and worked alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Thierry Henry and John Abrahams, being close to the talent Kevin used this time to pick their brains and observe their behaviour. Kevin's last role in TV was as Durant Thomas on Sky One’s Dream Team before he set upon his journey in human behaviour.
Studying Psychotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming and reading up on Neuroscience and models of excellence. Kevin developed a passion for understanding how human beings performed in different spaces and helping them to change where requested.
He created innovative programmes that led to him being requested as a speaker for mental health, write for the British Council’s global education magazine and partner on international projects, deliver behaviour therapy in schools, facilitate emotional literacy in Wandsworth Prison, counsel for England's biggest children's mental health charity Place2Be and the creation of his Soccology programme that he has successfully delivered across the Premier League. The success of the Soccology programme inspired Kevin to write his Amazon number one best selling book Soccology!
The success of Kevin's work has led to him regularly being requested to give his expert opinion in both national and international media.
